# SAIF.Application.LogView overview

SAIF.Application.LogView is a BOF component library that persists and retrieves application error and audit-message records through the `App_Error` and `App_Info` tables. It packages single-record and collection-style business objects for logging, lookup, filtering, paging support, and SQL Server full-text search across stored error and audit text.

## Purpose
- Provide reusable business objects for creating application error log rows and application info or audit log rows.
- Provide filtered collection retrieval for log-view use cases, including date filtering, machine, application, environment, and user filters, row-count paging support, and full-text search.

## Responsibilities
- Persist `App_Error` rows through `clsAppError` and search them through `clsAppErrorCollection`.
- Persist `App_Info` rows through `clsAppInfo` and search them through `clsAppInfoCollection`.
- Normalize free-text search input into SQL Server `CONTAINS(...)` predicates.
- Expose the standalone `TIMEUNITS`, `COMPARISONS`, `STATISTICFIELDS`, and `SearchTypes` enums used by the library's public surface.

## Key components
- `clsAppError`: single-row business object for `App_Error` inserts, retrieval, and deleted-flag updates.
- `clsAppErrorCollection`: filtered collection object for `App_Error` searches and total-count retrieval.
- `clsAppInfo`: single-row business object for `App_Info` inserts and retrieval.
- `clsAppInfoCollection`: filtered collection object for `App_Info` searches with default `EPAY` and `DirectDeposit` exclusion.
- `TIMEUNITS`, `COMPARISONS`, and `STATISTICFIELDS`: standalone public enums declared in `clsResources.vb`.
- `SearchTypes`: public enum that selects which `App_Info` text columns participate in full-text search.
