# AppSecurityRole

`SAIF.Application.AppSecurityRole` defines the effective access states used by application managers in the library.

## Purpose
- Enumerate the mutually exclusive role values applied to `AppManagerBase` instances.

## Context

## Public members

| `ViewOnly` | `ViewOnly` (member of `Public Enum AppSecurityRole`) | Denote that access to the application is view only. |
| `Update` | `Update` (member of `Public Enum AppSecurityRole`) | Denote that the application data may be updated. |
| `NoAccess` | `NoAccess` (member of `Public Enum AppSecurityRole`) | Denote that the application data is restricted from this user. |

## Behavioral notes
- The enum underpins the single-role behavior documented in [BR-001](../../business-rules.md#br-001-single-effective-application-security-role).
- Analysis findings describe this top-level enum as duplicating the nested `AppSecurityRole` declared inside `AppManagerBase`.
