SAIF.Business.Imaging is a component-tier BOF business library (class library, no entry point) that catalogs and indexes document images, associates them with business entities, manages imaging code tables, and tracks batch indexing jobs. It targets an Oracle database and is distributed as a NuGet package. It does not store image binaries itself; binary storage is delegated to the ImagingAPI.Client dependency*.

Purpose

• Provides BOF business objects for document image metadata management: indexing, affiliation, code-table lookups, and batch job tracking.
• Consumed by upstream applications or libraries that require document imaging capabilities within the SAIF ecosystem*.

Responsibilities

• Catalog and index stored document images (clsImage/clsImageCollection, clsImageIdx).
• Associate images with business-entity/claim affiliation context (clsImageAffiliation/clsImageAffiliationCollection).
• Manage imaging code tables: category (clsImageCategoryCode), document name (clsImageDocumentNameCode), document type (clsImageDocumentTypeCode), and file type (clsImageFileCode).
• Track batch image-indexing jobs (clsIndexBatch/clsIndexBatchCollection).
• Track external (customer/portal-facing) view update state for image files (clsImageFileExternalViewUpdate).
• Provide imaging system reference records (clsImgsys).
• Provide a legacy EAIP specialist lookup helper (clsEAIP/clsEAIPMessages)*.
