SAIF.Business.Policy.Group is a BOF business library for policy-group master data, chapter membership, group contacts, discount factors used by rating, underwriting eligibility criteria, and policy-period group links. It stores and retrieves effective-dated Oracle rows through inherited BOF business-object patterns rather than through an application service or stored procedures.

Purpose

• Model a policy group's master record, effective-dated chapters, contacts, discounts, underwriting criteria, significant classes, and policy-period membership links.
• Supply group discount and underwriting inputs to downstream rating and underwriting consumers without owning those consumers' execution flow.
• Encapsulate the BOF criteria, validation, and persistence surface used by callers that create, retrieve, and save group-related business objects.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve and persist GROUP_ASSOCIATION master data.
• Load chapter and contact data on demand.
• Supply iAdjustedRateFactor discount data to rating callers.
• Maintain underwriting criteria and significant-class eligibility data.
• Link policy periods to groups through an effective-dated association row.
