Constants

Constants is a static holder class that centralizes fixed literal values used across the policy domain: the SAIF service-center contact identifiers used for routing correspondence/notifications, the earliest allowable submission-entry date, and the string flag values that represent boolean true/false in database-backed fields.

Purpose

  • Provide a single source of truth for the service center's email address and mail identifier so callers do not hard-code these values.
  • Define the minimum valid submission entry date (1/1/1900) used as a floor/sentinel value in date validation.*
  • Define the canonical string representations ("Y"/"N") used for flag-style fields persisted as strings rather than native booleans.

Context

  • Namespace: SAIF.Business.Policy
  • Assembly/package: SAIF.Business.Policy

Constraints and usage notes

  • Consumers should rely on the declared public surface rather than internal implementation details.

Note: Statements marked with * were inferred from code structure, naming conventions, or contextual evidence where direct confirmation was not available in source artifacts. Statements marked with ** could not be confirmed; treat as unknown until verified.
