IPolicyAssociation¶
IPolicyAssociation is the base contract for a relationship between two policies (e.g., a policy and its parent in a wrap-up or leasing arrangement). It reports the related policy number, whether this side of the relationship is the parent, and the IPolicyAssociationType describing the kind of relationship. IPolicyHeaderAssociation extends this contract with additional header-display fields.
Purpose¶
- Identify the related policy (
PolicyNumber) and the kind of relationship (AssociationType) linking two policies. - Indicate which side of the relationship is the parent via
IsParent.
Context¶
- Namespace:
SAIF.Business.Policy - Assembly/package:
SAIF.Business.Policy
Public members¶
| Member | Signature | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
PolicyNumber |
ReadOnly Property PolicyNumber As Decimal |
The policy number of the related (associated) policy. |
IsParent |
ReadOnly Property IsParent As Boolean |
Indicates whether this association record represents the parent side of the relationship. |
AssociationType |
ReadOnly Property AssociationType As IPolicyAssociationType |
The type of association (e.g., wrap-up, leasing company) linking the two policies. |
Equals |
Function Equals(ByVal inAssociation As IPolicyAssociation) As Boolean |
Compares this association to another; the concrete implementation in clsPolicyAssociation (SAIF.Business.View.Policy) considers two associations equal when their AssociationType, PolicyNumber, and IsParent all match — the interface itself does not mandate this.* |
