# AutoBindTextbox

`AutoBindTextbox` is the auto-binding `TextBox` wrapper of this library's binding family. It stores its bound value as a `String`, renders a standard ASP.NET `TextBox`, and writes edits back to the bound business object on postback via [Auto-bind an individual control to its bound object](../../operations/auto-bind-an-individual-control-to-its-bound-object.md).

## Purpose
- Provides string-typed `Value` storage and synchronizes it with the underlying `System.Web.UI.WebControls.TextBox` at render time.
- Handles the `TextBox.TextChanged` postback event to push the user's edited text back onto the bound business object and re-validate.

## Behavioral notes
- The initial bogus value `"VALUE_NOT_INITIALIZED"` is used to guarantee a `TextChanged` event fires the first time the control is data-bound and the user makes any edit*.

## Constraints and usage notes
- Enforces [BR-AJAX-001](../../business-rules.md#br-ajax-001-auto-bound-controls-display-validation-errors-sourced-from-the-bound-objects-idataerrorinfo) via its inherited `Validate()`/`StyleControl` behavior.
