SAIF.Presentation.Web.Controls.V2 overview

Documentation context: Package-referenced (bundled via nuspec) Documented via: SAIF.BOF.Presentation.Web.Infragistics103.nuspec (repository root)

SAIF.Presentation.Web.Controls.V2 is a presentation-tier ASP.NET WebForms custom-control library. It supplies thin subclasses of standard WebForms input controls, composite layout/chrome controls, site-wide banner chrome, and small cross-cutting UX helpers, all compiled directly into the SAIF.BOF.Presentation.Web.Infragistics103 package assembly for reuse across SAIF WebForms applications.

Purpose

  • Provide a consistent, reusable set of ASP.NET WebForms server controls (input wrappers, layout/chrome, site banner, cross-cutting helpers) so consuming SAIF WebForms pages do not each reimplement common rendering conventions such as read-only image rendering, AJAX busy indicators, collapsible panels, and tab bars.
  • Consumed directly by front-end SAIF WebForms applications and master pages that reference the SAIF.BOF.Presentation.Web.Infragistics103 package.

Responsibilities

  • Render input-control wrappers with a consistent [ReadOnly] image-based rendering convention or AJAX "busy indicator" behavior on top of native WebForms controls.
  • Manage composite layout/chrome controls (SAIFPanel, SAIFTabBar, SAIFTabs, ConditionsGrid, SAIFGrid) with ViewState-persisted collapsible/tab-selection state.
  • Render site-wide banner chrome (BannerControl, BannerControlV2) by reading an external XML resource file, varying content by internal-vs-external client context.
  • Supply narrowly scoped cross-cutting UX helpers (auto-focus scripting, control-enable-state tagging, duplicate-submit prevention, status-message iconography, alphabet index bar).

Key components

  • BannerControl / BannerControlV2: Site-wide banner rendering and logout flow, environment-conditional on internal/external client context.
  • SAIFPanel: Collapsible content panel with ViewState-persisted expand/collapse state.
  • SAIFTabBar / SAIFTabs: Two independent tab-bar implementations — declarative (markup-persisted) and imperative (code-driven), respectively*.
  • ConditionsGrid / SAIFGrid: Composite grid controls for tabular presentation, including a UI-only medical-conditions column layout*.
  • SAIFCheckBox / SAIFCheckBoxList / SAIFRadioButton / SAIFRadioButtonList / SAIFDropDownList: Input controls adding a shared [ReadOnly] static-image rendering convention.
  • SAIFButton / SAIFComboBox / SAIFListBox: Input controls adding AJAX "busy indicator" client-side wiring.
  • MultiListControl: TextBox + CheckBoxList combo picker with wildcard/mutual-exclusivity selection behavior.
  • SAIFMessage: Status message control that auto-selects icon based on message-text keywords.
  • FocusManager, Utilities.mdlUtilities, OneClickSubmit, SAIFHoverHelp, SAIFAlphaNumericLinkControl: Narrowly scoped cross-cutting UX helpers.

Note: Statements marked with * were inferred from code structure, naming conventions, or contextual evidence where direct confirmation was not available in source artifacts. Statements marked with ** could not be confirmed; treat as unknown until verified.
