AutoBindWebDateTimeEdit¶

AutoBindWebDateTimeEdit is the auto-binding wrapper around an Infragistics WebDateTimeEdit, fixed to display and edit dates in MM/dd/yyyy format regardless of the server's culture settings. (BR-AJAX-042) By implementing IProvidesEmbeddableEditor, it can also be hosted directly as a column editor inside an Infragistics UltraWebGrid cell, not just as a standalone page control.

Purpose¶

Wraps an Infragistics WebDateTimeEdit so date values participate in the shared auto-binding, validation, and styling pipeline via AutoBindControlAncestor.
Forces a fixed MM/dd/yyyy display/edit format so dates are presented consistently across the application regardless of server locale. (BR-AJAX-042)
Implements Infragistics.WebUI.Shared.IProvidesEmbeddableEditor so the control can be embedded as an in-cell editor for grid columns, extending auto-binding behavior into grid editing scenarios.
Captures a user's edited date/time value on the editor's change event and immediately writes it back to the bound model property. (BR-AJAX-007)

Behavioral notes¶

GetLastFocus is defined but never called anywhere in this library's live source — likely a remnant of a browser-specific workaround.*
All other bind/validate behavior comes unchanged from AutoBindControlAncestor; this class supplies the concrete Infragistics WebDateTimeEdit, its fixed date format, and grid-editor embeddability.

Constraints and usage notes¶

The display/edit format is hard-coded to MM/dd/yyyy and is not culture-driven; consuming pages cannot vary the date format per locale. (BR-AJAX-042)
Infragistics35.WebUI.WebDataInput.v11.1 and Infragistics35.WebUI.Shared.v11.1 (version 11.1.20111.2090) must be available in the hosting application.
