ModalGridCustomizer.TargetControlIDData

TargetControlIDData is a public, designer-expandable property class nested inside ModalGridCustomizer. It groups the control IDs that wire ModalGridCustomizer to the rest of the page — which grid it customizes, which object binder rebinds it, and which optional control to refresh on Apply — exposed through the parent control's TargetControls property and rendered as an expandable designer sub-property group via ExpandableObjectConverter.

Purpose

  • Carries GridId to the parent control's TargetGrid reflection lookup (Page.FindControl), which throws ApplicationException if the named UltraWebGrid cannot be found.*
  • Carries ObjectBinderId to the parent control's ObjectBinder reflection lookup, used only when BindingBehavior is ObjectBinder.
  • Carries LinkedRefreshControlID, which determines whether the Apply button is rendered in the customization popup at all. (BR-AJAX-036)

Behavioral notes

  • A GridId that does not resolve to an UltraWebGrid on the page causes ApplicationException to be thrown from the parent control's TargetGrid property the first time it is accessed.*
  • An ObjectBinderId that does not resolve to a clsObjectBindManager causes ApplicationException to be thrown from the parent control's ObjectBinder property, but only when BindingBehavior = ObjectBinder actually triggers that lookup.*

Constraints and usage notes

  • GridId is required; the control cannot locate its target grid without it.
  • ObjectBinderId only needs to be set (or left at its default of objBinder) when BindingBehavior is ObjectBinder.
