# SAIF.Presentation.Web.Core.Infragistics111 overview

`SAIF.Presentation.Web.Core.Infragistics111` is a VB.NET class library (assembly `SAIF.Presentation.Web.Core.Infragistics111`, root namespace `SAIF.Presentation.Web.Core`) that supplies the WebForms page/master-page base classes, control-manipulation utilities, grid preference persistence, mail/download helpers, and menu navigation context used by SAIF legacy web applications built on Infragistics 11.1. It is packaged into the shared `SAIF.BOF.Presentation.Web.Infragistics111` NuGet package and, via its `postbuild.bat` ILMerge step, is the merge host that consolidates eight sibling presentation assemblies into the single shipped `SAIF.Presentation.Web.Infragistics111.dll`.

## Purpose
- Provide the foundational WebForms page (`AppViewPageBase`) and master-page (`AppViewMasterPageBase`) base classes that every consuming SAIF Business Online screen inherits, adding session keep-alive, control back-color normalization, grid column/sort/size preference persistence, hover-help wiring, and client-side focus management on top of the MVC-style `ViewPageBase` from `SAIF.Presentation.Web.MVC`.
- Extend the SAIF framework MVC triad for application-specific use (`clsAppControllerBase`, `clsAppModelBase`), adding a write-status enum, standard user messages, mail-request fields, and a grid-customizer collection.
- Resolve per-user menu authorization and navigation state (`NavigationContext`), the only type in the library that reaches an Oracle database, bridging the presentation layer to the `SAIF.Business.Menu` collections.
- Offer stateless presentation utility services reused across the presentation stack: control manipulation (`Utilities.clsControlManager`), text sanitization (`Utilities.clsStringUtilities`), mail dispatch and file-download streaming (`Utilities.clsMailMessage`), and nested master-page resolution (`clsNestedMaster`).

## Responsibilities
- Own the top-most page/master-page inheritance surface for consuming SAIF web applications.
- Normalize and protect/unprotect UI control state (back colors, read-only substitution, error marking) across ASP.NET, SAIF, and Infragistics 11.1 control families.
- Persist and re-apply per-user grid column, sort, and size preferences for `UltraWebGrid` and `WebDataGrid`.
- Resolve authorized menu navigation context for the current user and request.
- Dispatch outbound mail through the legacy SAIF mail SOAP service and stream generated files back to the browser.
- Act as the ILMerge host that produces the final shipped presentation assembly.

## Key components
- `AppViewPageBase`: WebForms page base — session ping, back-color reset, grid preference operations, e-mail popup launching, hover-help configuration.
- `AppViewMasterPageBase`: master-page base — typed accessors for standard SAIF chrome controls and client-side focus script rendering (including the nested `NavigationManager` class).
- `clsAppControllerBase`: application controller base — `WriteStatus` enum, `SAIFMENU` constant, numeric menu-context validation.
- `clsAppModelBase`: application model base — user-message constants, mail-request properties, `GridCustomizers` collection.
- `NavigationContext`: per-user menu authorization and navigation resolution over an Oracle data layer.
- `clsNestedMaster`: nested master-page tree and control resolution helpers.
- `Utilities.clsControlManager`: central control-manipulation service (clear/protect/enable, drop-down loading, grid client-side scripting).
- `Utilities.clsMailMessage`: legacy mail dispatch and file-download streaming.
- `Utilities.clsStringUtilities`: text sanitization for e-mail and output.
