# FunctionalGroupContainer

`FunctionalGroupContainer` is the top-level collection type returned by `EdiFile.FunctionalGroups`; it holds every functional group parsed out of an interchange's segment list by `EdiGroupParser.CreateFunctionalGroups`.

## Purpose
- Provides a strongly-typed `IList<IFunctionalGroup>` collection so callers of `EdiFile.FunctionalGroups` can iterate, index, and count the interchange's functional groups without casting from a generic collection.
