clsMailDateManager

clsMailDateManager backs the mail-date screen: it retrieves and updates the mail-date list for pending correspondence, and submits an Appworx batch print job for cover letters (PrintCoverLetters). Like clsCreateFileManager, it captures the current user's default printer at construction time for the print submission. It inherits LegalManagerBase (this library) → ClaimAppManager (SAIF.Application.Claim).

Purpose

  • Retrieve and update the mail-date list for pending correspondence.
  • Submit an Appworx batch print job for cover letters via SAIF.Services.Appworx.

Context

  • Namespace: SAIF.Application.Claim.Legal
  • Assembly/package: SAIF.Application.Claim.Legal.dll (embedded library, referenced by the Legal web front end)

Public members

Member Signature Purpose
New(inDatabase, inSecurityPrincipal) Public Sub New(inDatabase As String, inSecurityPrincipal As clsSecurityPrincipal) Constructs the manager for the given database context and authenticated principal, calling into LegalManagerBase.New and capturing the principal's default printer for later Appworx submissions.
MailDateCol Public ReadOnly Property MailDateCol As clsMailDateCollection* Exposes the collection of pending mail-date correspondence entries.
UpdateMailDate() Public Sub UpdateMailDate()* Updates the mail date on the selected correspondence entry once printing/mailing has been confirmed.
PrintCoverLetters() Public Sub PrintCoverLetters() Filters the mail-date collection to updated entries and calls SAIF.Services.Appworx.clsRequestAppworxJob.SubmitBatchJob to submit the cover-letter batch print job.

Behavioral notes

  • PrintCoverLetters() follows the same delegated-batch-job pattern as clsCreateFileManager.PrintLetters, handing the entire print-submission process to SAIF.Services.Appworx*.

Constraints and usage notes

  • The captured default printer is used as the target printer for the Appworx cover-letter submission; callers should ensure the principal has a valid default printer configured*.

Note: Statements marked with * were inferred from code structure, naming conventions, or contextual evidence where direct confirmation was not available in source artifacts.
