Configuration settings¶
This library's own configuration footprint is minimal: one Environment API key drives an external Guidewire-adjacent API client, environment branching is used twice for non-Production email-safety behavior, and one custom Oracle provider-registration section is declared in Web.config/app.config. All Oracle database connectivity is inherited from the shared BOF DataLayer/Connection framework infrastructure rather than configured locally.
Configuration retrieval methods¶
| Method | Class / Interface | Namespace | Usage pattern |
|---|---|---|---|
GetConfigSetting(String) |
IEnvironmentService (accessed via the inherited EnvironmentService member exposed through the BOF base-class chain) |
SAIF.Core.Services (interface) |
Called once in LegalManagerBase.New to resolve a plain-text API base URL used to construct an ApiClient. |
GetApplicationEnvironment() |
AppGlobal.EnvironmentService (IEnvironmentService, static accessor) |
SAIF.Framework.Security |
Called directly (not through a per-instance EnvironmentService member) to branch behavior between ApplicationEnvironment.Prod and non-production environments; returns an enum member rather than a keyed setting value. |
Environment API settings¶
Settings retrieved via IEnvironmentService (centralized environment configuration service).
| Setting key | Method | Data type | Purpose | Consuming class | Source |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
cc.ccclaimdataapiurl |
GetConfigSetting |
String (URL) | Base URL used to register the "ccclaimdataapi" entry in DPI.ApiClients, used for outbound Guidewire-adjacent claim-data API calls. |
LegalManagerBase (constructor) |
SAIF.Application.Claim.Legal\LegalManagerBase.vb |
In addition to the keyed setting above, GetApplicationEnvironment() (non-keyed environment classification) is called at 2 sites:
| Consumer | Purpose | Source |
|---|---|---|
clsAssignmentManager.Testing (read-only property) |
Exposes whether the running environment is non-Production, used to construct clsAssignmentProcess in "testing" mode outside Production*. |
SAIF.Application.Claim.Legal\LegalNet\clsAssignmentManager.vb |
clsScheduleManager.SendDEFEmail |
Gates recipient-address redirection for Defense Evaluation Form (DEF) reminder emails outside Production. | SAIF.Application.Claim.Legal\LegalNet\clsScheduleManager.vb |
AppSettings (Web.config)¶
No ConfigurationManager.AppSettings calls and no <appSettings> section are present in this library's Web.config or app.config. This catalog is empty for SAIF.Application.Claim.Legal.
Database connection configuration¶
No keyed connection strings are read by this library's own code. Database context is set programmatically through the shared BOF DataLayer infrastructure rather than a config-file connection string.
| Connection name | Provider | Retrieval method | Purpose | Source |
|---|---|---|---|---|
(unnamed — BOF DataLayer context) |
Oracle (ODP.NET Managed Driver) | Set programmatically: LegalManagerBase.New/OnInitialize sets DataLayer.Database = inDatabase (the database identifier is supplied by the caller, not read from this library's config) and DataLayer.DBUser = "LGN" (a literal BOF portal "DB user" tag)*. |
Selects the Oracle connection/database context for this library's data access via SAIF.BOF.Framework.Connection. |
SAIF.Application.Claim.Legal\LegalManagerBase.vb |
Secure settings¶
No GetSecureConfigSetting calls or hash/encryption utility usage were found in this library. This catalog is empty for SAIF.Application.Claim.Legal.
Custom configuration sections¶
| Section name | Handler type | Purpose | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
oracle.manageddataaccess.client |
OracleInternal.Common.ODPMSectionHandler, Oracle.ManagedDataAccess |
Oracle ODP.NET Managed Driver configuration-section registration in <configSections>; no populated section body — the actual provider registration is supplied via the <system.data><DbProviderFactories> block in the same files. |
SAIF.Application.Claim.Legal\Web.config, SAIF.Application.Claim.Legal\app.config |
Both Web.config and app.config also register the Oracle.ManagedDataAccess.Client provider factory under <system.data><DbProviderFactories> (replacing the default entry via <remove> then <add>); app.config additionally carries <assemblyBinding>/<bindingRedirect> entries for Newtonsoft.Json, System.Runtime.CompilerServices.Unsafe, and System.Text.Json (standard assembly-version redirects, not application settings).
Transitive configuration (from dependencies)¶
No transitive configuration keys required by referenced libraries or packages were identified for this library.
Configuration dependencies¶
| Dependency | Type | Required at | Impact if missing |
|---|---|---|---|
cc.ccclaimdataapiurl |
Environment API key | Object construction (LegalManagerBase.New) |
The ccclaimdataapi API client entry cannot be registered; any Guidewire-adjacent claim-data API call routed through it would fail*. |
oracle.manageddataaccess.client / DbProviderFactories registration |
Config file section | Startup (ADO.NET provider load) | The Oracle ODP.NET Managed Driver provider cannot be resolved, and all Oracle database access in this library would fail*. |
BOF DataLayer.Database / DataLayer.DBUser |
Programmatic framework state (not config-file driven) | Runtime, per manager instantiation | Data-access calls would target the wrong database/DB-user context or fail if not set by the caller*. |
