| Field | Value |
|---|---|
| Operation ID | OP-CLL-003 |
| Trigger | User files, updates, extends, or deletes an appeal |
| Inputs | Business-object criteria properties set by the caller (see linked SQL parameter tables) |
| Outputs | Persisted/retrieved clsAppeal state |

Steps¶
- Validate the request against applicable business rules: BR-CLM-LGL-005
- On failure: validation errors are collected and returned to the caller; the operation does not proceed.
- Execute the underlying data access for
clsAppealagainst: DB-CLL-009, DB-CLL-010, DB-CLL-011, DB-CLL-012, DB-CLL-013, DB-CLL-014, DB-CLL-015 - Tables affected: APPEAL, APPEAL_EXTENSION
- Return the resulting object graph (or success/failure status) to the caller.
Process flow¶
flowchart TD

Failure and edge-case behavior¶
- Validation failure: the operation returns collected errors without persisting any change.
