TiffConverter¶
TiffConverter is the BaseConverter subclass selected by ConverterFactory for .tif/.tiff source files. Unlike ImageConverter, it iterates every frame of a multi-frame TIFF and produces one output page per frame, each drawn with zero margins.
Purpose¶
- Convert a multi-frame TIFF to a multi-page PDF, one page per frame (BR-SFC-003, BR-SFC-019).
- Draw each page with zero margins, maximizing the usable page area for the frame image (BR-SFC-018).
- Identify itself to
ConverterFactoryand downstream consumers as theTiffconversion type.
Context¶

PdfAPI.SyncFusionCore - Assembly/package:
PdfAPI.SyncFusionCore(Pdf.Local.ClientNuGet package)
Public members¶
| Member | Signature | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| TiffConverter | TiffConverter() |
Creates a ready-to-use TiffConverter instance for ConverterFactory to invoke against TIFF source documents (.tif/.tiff); the constructor body is empty*, so no state is established beyond the base type's fields. |
| ConversionType | override SourceConversionType ConversionType { get; } |
Returns SourceConversionType.Tiff, identifying this converter's source format to ConverterFactory and to the assembled PdfResult. |
Inherited public members¶
Members in this section are inherited from BaseConverter in PdfAPI.SyncFusionCore. They are available on this type through inheritance.
| Member | Signature | Purpose | Origin |
|---|---|---|---|
| Convert | PdfResult Convert(Stream stream, ConvertRequest request) |
Executes the full conversion: times the operation, invokes ConfigureConverter and ConvertItem, and assembles a PdfResult with Status, Elapsed, and PdfProcessorType = Syncfusion; captures rather than propagates conversion exceptions (BR-SFC-006, BR-SFC-010). |

Behavioral notes¶
- A single-frame TIFF produces a single-page PDF, following the same one-page-per-frame rule (BR-SFC-019).
- Zero-margin drawing means the frame image extends to the page edges, unlike
ImageConverter, which does not specify a margin policy* (BR-SFC-018). - A conversion failure is captured by the inherited
Convertmethod and reported through the result rather than thrown (BR-SFC-010).
Constraints and usage notes¶
- Not intended to be constructed directly by application code;
ConverterFactoryconstructs and invokes it based on the source file extension.
